Service providers who are members of EARN are organizations committed to increasing employment opportunities for people with disabilities and promoting inclusive and accessible workplaces. These organizations provide a range of employment services to persons with disabilities. Many service providers serve job seekers with all types of disabilities while others focus on one disability. What supports do service providers give to job seekers?
Service providers offer a range of employment supports and resources aimed at reducing barriers to employment for job seekers with disabilities. These services may include but are not limited to the following: intake and evaluation; setting career goals; resume and cover letter writing; job search strategies and resources; internet access; determining accommodation needs; ergonomic and adaptive technology assessments; job search workshops; practice interviews; job development services; disability disclosure plans; job coaching; and retention services.
