Employment Accessibility Resource Network (EARN) Steering
Committee – Recruiting New Representatives
Are you looking for a rewarding opportunity to be engaged and give back to your community? Would you like to use your skills and knowledge to help ensure that every workplace in Ottawa is inclusive and accessible for people with disabilities? Join the Steering Committee of the Employment Accessibility Resource Network (EARN).
The Employment Accessibility Resource Network (EARN) is a community wide initiative led by United Way East Ontario including Ottawa, Lanark County, Renfrew County, and the United Counties of Prescott Russell, that builds partnerships across communities to improve employment opportunities for people with disabilities. We provide a coordinated access point for education and expertise on employment, accessibility and workplace inclusion for people with disabilities and employers.
EARN’s Steering Committee is composed of employers, service providers, and various stakeholders who champion the work of EARN within the community. The Steering Committee is advisory in nature and helps to set the overall strategic direction for EARN’s Leadership Group as well as provide guidance on key issues such as objectives, strategy, resourcing, and prioritization. It also guides EARN’s general course of operations, assists in the execution of related work plans and fosters the collaboration of EARN’s various members.
The EARN Steering Committee is currently recruiting new members. The membership term is 3 years, with an option to extend for a second term. Our application process will involve the submission of a letter of interest, your resume and a reference letter, followed by an interview process.
