April 10th: Ottawa Employment Hub 4th Annual Building Connections Event

Ottawa Employment Hub - LEPC

On Tuesday, April 10th, service providers, employers, and educators gathered at the Ottawa Conference and Event Centre for Ottawa Employment Hub’s fourth annual Building Connections event. Approximately 400 participants joined for a day of networking and personal development to learn how to work together to connect job seekers to jobs.

There were sessions on Ottawa success stories, industry partnership panels, program success spotlights, and community collaborations. The keynote address was given by Tim Rose of Disability Positive Consulting on the topic of Broadening the Search for Talent. Rose celebrated the value that people with disabilities bring to the workplace, viewing their talents from a disability positive perspective.

We extend many thanks to Ottawa Employment Hub’s Ingrid Argyle for inviting EARN to have a booth at the event, affording us an opportunity to make valuable contacts in our community.

Ottawa Employment Hub operates as a local employment planning council.
