On Wednesday, February 27, 2019, Ottawa Employment Hub (OEH) held its annual Building Connections event, a day of networking and knowledge-sharing around the evolution of work and how Ottawa businesses and community partners can collaborate for future success, attended by over 400 participants.

This year the focus was on the future of work and the impact of AI and automaton. Workshops were held on topics such as OEB online resources and Ottawa Board of Trade Initiatives, Ottawa success stories were also profiled. EARN presented during the workshop on “Why and How to Attract and Retain a Diverse Workforce” and our initiative was featured as one of the success stories. We had the opportunity to have a booth which many participants visited to learn more about EARN.
