On Monday, May 13th, EARN in partnership with the Adaptive Learning Program at the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board (OCSDB) held a practice interview session for students to practice their interview skills with EARN’s employer partners with a background in Human Resources (HR).
There was a group of ten EARN partners that attended the mock interview session held for just under two hours. The session really helps students gain valuable experience and feedback as they graduate and participate in “real-life” interviews in the future. We are grateful to our valued partners who also give their time to take part in this invaluable experience.
What is the Adaptive Learning Program?
The Ottawa Carleton District School Board (OCSDB), an EARN member – runs an Adaptive Learning Program for young adults with development disabilities to prepare students for job placements and/or volunteer opportunities. Students will be graduating from the program this June. In each of the past six years, 10 of our EARN employers have participated in practice interview sessions with the students. If you are interested to take part in this session next year, please keep an eye out in your email for an invitation!
