In 2017, four United Ways came together for a common goal: to deliver even greater impact in the communities where we live, work and play. On September 24, 2019, as the next step in our journey, United Way Ottawa (along with United Way Prescott Russell, United Way Lanark County, and United Way Renfrew County) became United Way East Ontario. We will continue to work with communities in Prescott-Russell, Ottawa, Lanark and Renfrew Counties.
Why United Way East Ontario? As a single entity, United Way East Ontario has the benefit of understanding, researching, and working on issues with both an urban and rural perspective. As social challenges face these unique and different communities, United Way East Ontario is ready to respond.
It’s important to also share with you that United Way East Ontario continues its commitment to 100% local – funds are invested in the community where they are raised, and where they will have the greatest impact. United Way will also continue to have offices, activities, staff and volunteers in the communities of Prescott-Russell, Ottawa, Lanark and Renfrew Counties.
EARN is proud to be a community-wide initiative of United Way East Ontario.
